Water Margins

Times Square 12/F - Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
Word of warning: you won't be able to easily find this place by its English name. But you can't miss the ultra-cool modern ambience that pays homage to the Chinese olden days with its Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon decor. Although the dishes are Chinese, the tableware is Japanese. The drink menu, hand-written on bamboo shafts, is filled with amazing fruit concotions - the lychee drink was among the best I've ever had.

Although the menu was a tad pricey, it was made up by the fact that the food was very unique and presented well, everything from a mountain-style bun to the famous rack of lamb, deboned with a sweet soy sauce that really brought out the flavour. There was no way I was going to leave leftovers here.

Service was attentive and detailed, which is expected from the Aqua restaurant group. Luckily here though, Aqua struck a home run in comparison to the overpriced and overrated Wasabisabi on the next floor up.
