pictured: Hong Kong Harbour What good is the economic gateway to the Asian Tiger if you can't eat well there?
You'd be surprised how many street-side restaurants are actually
hidden gastronomic gems (but be careful - for every gem that
exists, there's also a rat-infested hole-in-the-wall restaurant
out there). There is probably no other city in the world
in which there exists such a wide disparity between prices and
class. You can get a decent, full-course meal for only
$25, or you could get a 5-star meal for upwards of $10,000,
reserved for the privileged few. Either way, Hong Kong is
definitely a place you want to eat. |
